ASOR SEEKS VOLUNTEERS FOR HONORS & AWARDS COMMITTEE
The Honors and Awards Committee is an ASOR standing committee with a three-year opening for one new member. ASOR invites nominations, including self-nominations, from ASOR members who are interested in being considered by the committee for this opening.
The Honors and Awards Committee is currently chaired by Laura Mazow. The ASOR Bylaws state: This committee [Honors and Awards] will oversee all ASOR honors. As the name suggests, this committee oversees ASOR’s efforts to recognize and reward individuals who have demonstrated notable service to the organization, as well as those who have produced exceptional recent scholarship (books and posters).
To ensure balanced representation of different sub-fields within the committee, preference will be given to individuals who complement the committee makeup.
