HOW TO APPLY FOR A SCHOLARSHIP FOR FIELDWORK PARTICIPATION

Step 1: Find a Project

  • Do you already have a project?
    • Consult the list of ASOR-affiliated projects and make sure your project is listed.
      • If your project is listed, proceed to Step 2.
      • If your project is not listed, check with your project director if it is an ASOR-affiliated project and email programs@asor.org if your director says the project is ASOR-affiliated.
      • If your project is not listed, and your project director says that the project is not ASOR-affiliated, encourage them to apply for ASOR-affiliation—the process is straightforward and brief.
  • No project yet?
    • Consult the list of ASOR-affiliated projects. Reach out to the director of a project that interests you. Some of the projects listed have specific information for field school students and volunteers on their websites. Email programs@asor.org if you have questions about finding a project.
