Strategic initiatives are the investments that strengthen ASOR’s capacity to serve scholars and the field for the long term — from physical infrastructure to good governance to the values that shape how we do our work. Choose an initiative below to direct your gift.
Help cover the costs of bringing ASOR’s volunteer board and committee members together, ensuring the governance and oversight that keeps ASOR accountable and well-run.
Support the physical home of ASOR’s work — funding the space, upkeep, and capacity ASOR needs to serve its members and staff today and for years to come.
Support ASOR’s efforts to reduce the environmental impact of fieldwork and operations, and to address the growing threat climate change poses to cultural heritage sites across the region.
Help ASOR broaden who gets to participate in and lead the study of the ancient Near East, through programming and support that opens the field to a wider range of scholars.
