Getting Around Boston

Travel Green

Skip the traffic on I-95 and the lines at the airport and make a green choice when you travel to Boston. Traveling by train is one of the most environmental friendly ways to travel. The Hilton Boston Park Plaza is a short walk from Amtrak and MBTA lines.

Amtrak

Amtrak is 47% more energy efficient than traveling by car and 36% more energy efficient than domestic air travel. Amtrak’s Northeast corridor routes and their high-speed Acela train make Boston an easy and environmental friendly destination. Amtrak offers various discounts for students, booking early, and other seasonal or regional savings. View these deals on the Amtrak website and then book your trip to Boston’s Back Bay Station (BBY) – a short walk from the Hilton Boston Park Plaza:

Back Bay Station (Orange Line), 145 Dartmouth Street (.5 mile)

Public Transportation

The MBTA or simply the “T” is Boston’s public transportation system with subway, bus, trolley, and boat services. MBTA has a tool called Trip Planner that lets you plan your T ride from beginning to end. Simply enter your starting location and list the Hilton Boston Park Plaza as your destination. Trip Planner will tell you where to go stop-by-stop via train or bus and provide a fare estimate.

The Boston Park Plaza is 1 block from the Arlington T Stop (Green Line) and 3 blocks from the Back Bay T Stop (Orange Line).

A subway map may be found hereFrom the airport: The Silver Line is free from Boston Logan inbound to South Station, including a transfer to the Red Line. South Station is less than a mile (.8) from the Hilton Boston Park Plaza and is also on the Red Line. The Silver Line is operates from 5:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m., seven days a week.

Carpool

Carpooling is another cost-effective and environmentally friendly way to get to and from the meeting. Unfortunately, for liability reasons, ASOR cannot make recommendations or maintain a list of potential ride-sharers. We do encourage you to share a ride or carpool with others who are known to you and/or with whom you feel safe.

In and Around Bean Town

The T is an excellent way to get around town, but the city is also easy to explore by foot, bike, and taxi.
