2022 PROGRAM COMMITTEE

The Program Committee takes responsibility for overseeing the academic program of the ASOR Annual Meeting, by determining the topics for the sessions to be held at the Annual Meeting; by appointing , as necessary, chairs for these sessions; by monitoring the work of the chairs as they solicit and vet paper proposals and by offering assistance as appropriate; by determining the proper administration of the ASOR Poster session; and by developing the Annual Meeting academic schedule. The committee also develops guidelines regarding the conducting of the academic program of the ASOR Annual Meeting (e.g., the Annual Meeting appearance policy) and oversees the communications associated with the ASOR Annual Meeting (e.g., requests to session chairs for schedule and abstract copies, special media requests, as well as the production of the academic sections of the online program. In addition, the committee recommends potential plenary speakers for the ASOR Annual Meeting to the Chairs Coordinating Council. 

Class of 2025 Opening

There is currently one opening on the Program Committee for the Class of 2025. We are particularly interested in applications from members whose fields of expertise and interests are complimentary to, or not already represented by, current members of the Program Committee. The application form is brief and is due by December 22, 2022.
