The W. F. Albright Institute of Archaeological Research (AIAR) in East Jerusalem, an ASOR-Affiliated Overseas Research Center, invites applications for the position of Dorot Director. The Director serves as chief executive officer of the Institute, overseeing operations, financial strategy, academic programming, development, and institutional relationships with local academic, cultural, diplomatic and governmental institutions.

Candidates should hold a graduate degree, have familiarity with the region, and demonstrate leadership in Near Eastern studies or a related field (such as but not limited to archaeology, anthropology, biblical studies, history, museology, religious studies), along with experience in fundraising and institutional administration. The appointment is for up to five years, and includes a renovated three-bedroom Director’s residence on the AIAR campus.
