Scope and Contents
Series 1. Documents describes the excavation, artifacts discovered at the site, and the division of the artifacts between ASOR, the Palestine Archaeological Museum, and the Jordan Archaeological Museum. The collection also contains publications about Khirbet et Tannur. The original box numbers have been maintained. The first box in Series 1. is Box 5. The second box in this series is Box 6. Series 2. Artifacts, and Series 3. Photographs, are being processed. Series 2. Artifacts contains ASOR’s portion of the excavated artifacts, with the exception of artifacts and sculptures which have been transferred to the Cincinnati Art Museum. Series 3. Photographs documents artifacts in situ and in a studio setting. The majority of the photos were taken by Nelson Glueck and S.J. Schweig.
