FY17 HONOR ROLL OF DONORS

ASOR ANNUAL MEETING

ASOR MEMBERS CAN RECEIVE $60 OFF THE GITIN POTTERY VOLUMES

Or, You May Make a Contribution So That A Student May Receive the Two-Volume Resource

Dear fellow ASOR member,

I am pleased to recommend to you the recent publication of what many are calling “The Ceramics Bible.” The official title is The Ancient Pottery of Israel and Its Neighbors from the Iron Age through the Hellenistic Period. I am even more pleased to share that, because ASOR is a sponsor of these volumes, they are available to ASOR members at a discounted rate of $180, which is $60 off the regular price.

Whether or not you already own the volumes, I would like to encourage you to make a gift that will enable Palestinian, Jordanian, Cypriot and Israeli students (or junior scholars) to own the volume. You may make a gift to ASOR online, and we will work with our affiliated research centers to put the pottery volumes in the hands of deserving students. A $200 contribution will pay for the volumes and shipping. Simply click here to make a gift online and choose “Pottery Volume for Students” in the drop-down menu. Gifts of amounts greater or less than $200 are welcomed and will be pooled to support deserving students and junior scholars. If you prefer, you can also mail a check to ASOR (656 Beacon Street, 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02215). Please also e-mail Selma Omerefendic at ASOR and let her know if you wish your gift to support a Palestinian, Jordanian, Cypriot, or Israeli student or jr. scholar.

If you do not own the volumes, I want to encourage you to purchase a copy at a discounted price. As one of the volumes’ supporting institutions, ASOR is offering our members a special discounted price of $180, plus shipping. Click here for an order form, which should be mailed directly to the publisher, the Israel Exploration Society in Israel.

If this special offer were not enough, I am also glad to report that all sales of Volumes I and II will directly support the production and printing costs of Volumes III and IV.

Please do not hesitate to contact the ASOR office (617-358-4376) if you have any questions.

Faithfully,
Andrew G. Vaughn
ASOR Executive Director
