Tell Qarqur is located in the Orontes River valley in northwestern Syria. It is a large, double mound and features significant Iron and Early Bronze IV occupations. Following a series of limited excavations in the 1980s, excavations were resumed on behalf of ASOR in 1993 and have continued through 2004. A field season is planned for 2005.
