Digging Up Mesopotamia
Archaeology of the Ancient World

Post-Dig Activities

After you wrap up the dig students can:

  1. Spend a week creating a museum display for the rest of the school.

  2. Notebooks can be finished and final reports written to be presented to the class.

  3. Cuneiform tablets can be translated and pottery repaired

  4. You may break the kids up into groups assigning three or four to an activity.

  5. Objects can be "registered"' and drawn.

  6. The very last thing should be bringing the final reports together to conclude what happened at the site.
