2010 Annual Meeting Student Scholarships
Platt Annual Meeting Scholarships
Through a generous gift of the late Mrs. Katherine Barton Platt, six Student Service Scholarships of $500 each will be offered for transportation and hotel costs incurred while attending ASOR's 2010 Annual Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia.
Eligibility: Students must be members of ASOR (by Sept. 17) and may be either undergraduates or graduate students. The Scholarships require that recipients provide up to 18 hours of service at the Annual Meeting, arranged to accommodate the sessions they would like to attend. Duties will involve assisting at the registration desk, helping Session Chairs with audiovisual needs during the sessions, and aiding Program Committee members with other set-up and arrangement needs.
Applying: Interested individuals should send a curriculum vitae and a letter of interest to Kelley Bazydlo in the ASOR office that summarizes how they will benefit from attending the Annual Meeting. A budget of projected expenses should be included as well as one letter of recommendation. Applications will be accepted through September 17, 2010, and notification of decisions on grant awards will be made within two weeks. Any questions may be directed to Kelley Bazydlo at asorad@bu.edu.
