Dorot Foundation Annual Meeting Travel Scholarships

In previous years, the Dorot Foundation in Providence, RI, has provided funding for ten or more awards of up to $1000 each for expenses related to travel to and housing at the Annual Meeting. We hope that the program will be available in 2010.

Eligibility: These scholarships are restricted to graduate students who are American or Canadian permanent residents in Ph.D. programs who have ABD ('all-but-dissertation') status. Preference is given to those presenting papers at the annual meeting and who have not received a Dorot travel scholarship previously. Scholarships are subject to funding from the Dorot Foundation.

Applying: Interested individuals should send a curriculum vitae and a letter of interest to the ASOR office that summarizes how they will benefit from attending the Meeting. A budget of projected expenses should be included. One letter of recommendation should also be forwarded to the ASOR Boston office at the address listed below.
