Committees and Research Centers

ASOR is governed by the Board of Trustees and the Executive Committee. The Board contains six major committees; the Chairs Coordinating Committee, the Committee on Archaeological Policy (CAP), the Development Committee, the Membership Committee, the Annual Meeting Programs Committee, and the Publications Committee). In addition, the treasurer oversees the Finance Committee.

The three affiliate research centers are:

American Center of Oriental Research
Albright Institute of Archaelogical Research
Cyprus American Archaeological Research Institute.

Other related committees are the Baghdad, Damascus, and Saudi-Arabia Committees.

 

The Board of Trustees also has a Nominations Committee and Officers Nominating Committee.
