INSTRUCTIONS: APPLYING FOR ASOR / CAP AFFILIATION


1. Please read the "Statement of General Standards for Projects Affiliated with the American Schools of Oriental Research" and make sure you are willing to comply with these standards. All staff members of ASOR affiliated projects are also expected to affirm and abide by the ideals and guidelines set forth in ASOR’s Policy on Preservation and Protection of Archaeological Resources.

2. A separate cover sheet form is no longer required. The information formerly gathered by this form has been incorporated into the Format I through III forms.

3. New Projects must fill out the appropriate Format I form (for Field Work or Publication).

4. Affiliation Renewals: To be submitted once every five years for Publication Projects and once every three years for Excavations Projects (Format II).

5. Annual Report: To be submitted each year by all affiliated projects (Format III).

6. Submit applications electronically from the ASOR web site (http://www.asor.org/ASORCAP.html).

7. Application deadline is 1 November 2007.

8. Proposals will be reviewed in November 2007, notification of affiliation decisions will be sent out by January 15, 2008.
