to the | ThThe William F. Albright Institute of Archaeological Research in Jerusalem announces the 2007 Sean W. Dever Memorial Prize call for papers. This prize provides $650 for the best published article or paper presented at a conference by a Ph.D. candidate in Syro-Palestinian or biblical archaeology. Authors may be of any nationality but the articles or papers must be in English. All submissions must include the academic affiliation of the author and her/his mailing and email addresses and phone number. Submission of conference papers must include the name of the conference and the date when the paper was presented. Submissions must be received by December 31, 2007. Send six print (6) copies to: Mr.
Sam Cardillo The W. F. Albright Institute of Archaeological Research is pleased to announce that the recipient of the 2006 Sean W. Dever Memorial Prize is Adam Kolman Marshak of Yale University, for his paper entitled "The Dated Coins of Herod the Great: Towards a New Chronology." This prize is awarded to the best published article or paper presented at a conference by a Ph.D. candidate in Syro-Palestinian and Biblical Archaeology. The 2005 competition winner is John D. M. Green, Institute of Archaeology, University College London. His paper entitled Anklets and the Construction of Gender and Age in the Late Bronze and Early Iron Age Southern Levant was presented at the 2005 Annual Meetings of the American Schools of Oriental Research. Previous winners (and their graduate school affiliations) are Edward Maher, Department of Anthropology, University of Illinois; Juan Manuel Tebes, School of Philosophy and Linguistics, University of Buenos Aires; Christine M.
